Where?
•starts and finishes at Pirates Cove Boat Ramp at the end of Ozello Trail (County Rd 494, west off of US19 between Homosassa and Crystal River.


What is it?
•an adventure competition with individuals or teams of two or three competing
•team competition is like a relay race, one person per event
•kayaking 1.5 miles
•bicycling 7 miles (on the paved County Road)
•running 2 miles

Who can participate?
•anyone in good health; age 14 or older

Awards
•for overall best times in team category and for individuals in age/gender classes

What do you need to bring?
•your kayak/canoe, paddle, pfd, running shoes, bicycle and helmet, water bottle and snacks
•there will be a limited number of kayaks to rent (must be reserved in advance) for race day

What is the $$ used for?
•a scholarship fund to help local students obtain post secondary education

What do you get?
•t-shirt
•lunch at the end of the race
•satisfaction of helping high school students continue their education.

Entry Fees
•Individual racer--$30 ea

•Teams of two or three--$25 per team member
(1 team member racing per event)

•High School racers--$20 each individual or high school team member

•Race day registration--$40 ea

•kayak, paddle, pfd rental (if needed)--$20 reservations required for the kayak rentals through Aardvark's Florida Kayak Company
